In July 13, 2015, the Statute of Children and Adolescents (SCA) commemorate 25 years of existence. Brazilian Federal Law promulgated in July 1990 (Law 8.069) , the (SCA) has the objective to protect the child and the adolescent integrally. It is the legal mark and regulatory of the human rights of the child and adolescent in Brazil.
In this date, Paulo Freire Institute (PFI) and the Human Rights Center and Defense of the Child, Adolescent and Youth Paulo Freire (Cedheca Paulo Freire) (HRCDCAY Paulo Freire), with the support of the entities that compose the State Committee of Human Rights of São Paulo, launched the e-book “Save the Statute of Children and Adolescent (SCA)”.
The publication, that gathers 30 texts of researchers and historical activists from the Human Rights Movement, is free and is available for download, because it is under the license Creative Commons, allowing like this its copy and free distribution, except for no commercial ends, with the correct quotation of the source.
